11th Southern African Online Information Meeting
Innovation in an Age of Limits
Sandton Convention Centre, 5-8 June 2012
In addition to the submitted papers this year’s programme features exceptional keynote and invited speakers as well 5 informative workshops. Be sure not to miss the thought-provoking Richard Mulholland who will be our closing speaker
The evening event will take place in the L’Incontro Ballroom at the Michelangelo Hotel.
Join us for a 5-star dinner and entertainment by Michael de Pinna of ‘Yebo Gogo’ fame. As many delegates will go directly from the conference venue to the function the dress code for the evening will be smart casual.
Social reporting will play an important role during the event. The following social networking tools are available for comments, discussions and queries:
- SAOUG Facebook page
- SAOUG Twitter (use #SAOIM for the conference)
- SAOUG LinkedIn Group
- TheSAOUGTube (YouTube for SAOUG – still in the making)
- SAOUG e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org
- Leave a comment on the blog posts
Attention: Pretoria delegates planning to make use of the Gautrain
Pretoria delegates are encouraged to make use of Gautrain as the conference venue is conveniently close to the Sandton station. Parking in the nearby Sandton City parking garage will be provided free of charge to those delegates preferring to travel by car.
P.S. A number of Pretoria delegates has indicated that they will not attend the evening function as the last train leaves Sandton Station at 20:30. Our evening function at the 2010 conference was a huge success and one of the highlights of the conference. We would not like our Pretoria colleagues to miss out on this year’s function as it promises to be even better than the previous year’s.
To facilitate attendance of the evening function the organising committee is prepared to arrange a bus back to Hatfield after the evening function should there be sufficient interest. This will be at no additional costs to the delegates.
