Social Reporting will be an integral part of the 11th Southern African Online Information Meeting. Social Reporting volunteers will be using Twitter, the SAOUG blogs and Facebook to create a narrative report of the event. We invite you to join in, whether you are attending the conference or will be following from elsewhere.
- Follow and feed the Twitter stream – use the #SAOIM tag.
- Visit the registration desk during breaks for some social reporting coaching.
- Like the SAOUG Facebook group.
One of our Social Reporting volunteers, Louise Patterton, is keeping a journal of her preparations to be a field reporter. You can read all about this journey on her blog.
Expect a social reporter to ask you to do a short video interview to share some thoughts with your peers. We see this as a wonderful opportunity to enhance the visibility and profile of the information professional in Southern Africa. Let your voice be heard!
Here are the first two videos on our very own TheSAOUGTube.
